Brett Mitchell will continue for a third season as cover conductor for The Philadelphia Orchestra, covering several weeks of subscription programs with the Orchestra during their 2011-12 season. In February 2012, Mitchell will cover for Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos and Emanuel Ax in a program of Mozart and Brahms, while he will cover a program of Bernstein, Gershwin, and Tchaikovsky in March 2012.
